Discovery Days is for kids ages 3-5 and provides kindergarten readiness for your child and child care while you work.
Learning Ventures Child Care programs are for for school-age children in grades K - 6th grade. We provide child care before- and after-school from 6:30 am - 6 pm at each Elementary. Non-School Days are at Centerview Elementary.
Preschool prepares children for kindergarten by incorporating literacy, math, science, social studies, art, social/emotional development, and physical development into its curriculum. Preschool is aligned with the SLP Schools kindergarten program.
Spring Lake Park Schools Summer School is for students who have been recommended by their teacher or screener for this learning opportunity.

SLPHS and SLP Community Ed are proud to partner in the support of private music lessons. Lessons are $30 per half an hour, offered by the month in a "pack" of lessons payable in one fee. All lessons will be held in the SLPHS Music Suite. Financial support is available for students who qualify for Educational Benefits. Donate a lesson here
Instructor: Ryan Borden is a percussionist/drummer and educator based in Minneapolis. As an active scholastic and studio instructor, Ryan focuses on well-rounded musicianship and versatility as a percussionist; multi-faceted development of technique; sonic awareness and sound production; and self-assessment.
Ryan formerly held the position of principal percussionist with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, and other orchestral credits include the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Enid Symphony Orchestra, and the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra, among others. Also a passionate community educator, he has experience facilitating collective drumming ensembles all over the United States.
Ryan currently works at Augsburg University as the coordinator for the Schwartz School of the Arts, as well as a studio artist in the percussion area. He performs as a section percussionist with the Mankato Symphony Orchestra. Ryan received his Bachelor of Music in performance from Illinois State University and his Master of Music in performance from the University of Missouri. His primary instructors include Glenn Kotche, Roger Braun, Dr. David Collier, and Dr. Julia Gaines.
Schedule: Please select which open lesson schedule you would like. If there are conflicts due to illness, other band commitments, etc. please work with Ryan Borden/Ross Wolf on schedule adjustments after registering. Refunds will not be given for missed lessons at this time, so please work with the instructor to reschedule another lesson.
