Learn the basics of identifying and appraising antiques, art, jewelry, coins, and collectibles. Get tips on what makes things valuable and the best ways to sell them. Examine things like lithophane, trench art, U.S. Zone china, a U.S. 3 cent nickel, precious gemstones, mourning jewelry & German silver. No pictures or books in this class, everything is “hands on." Bring one item, no larger than a shoe box to the first class. You will then research its value on your own with the research tools you've been given, then compare your results with the appraiser's at the second class. Bring a magnifying glass if you have one.
