  • Adult Pickleball - Open Gym 24-25

    Spring Lake Park Community Ed is excited to bring you indoor open pickleball! A great opportunity for adults to drop in and play with a variety of partners, as they rotate in and out to mix with others of similar skill level. Join us for some open pickleball play! All levels are welcome. Limit to one game to 11 points while others are waiting.   • Badminton Open Gym 24-25

    Join us for open Badminton play! All players must be 18+ or accompanied by an adult. Equipment: shuttlecocks (nylon) and loaner racquets (for beginners) will be provided. This is community play. Participants can play one game, exit the court, and re-enter through a rotation.
  • Fantasy Football for Beginners

    If you're new to fantasy football, this class is tailored just for you! Participants will gain insights into drafting players, understanding crucial terms and abbreviations essential for fantasy football success. They'll receive access to tools (websites) that add fun and ease to weekly competitions, along with guidance on how to start a league. By the end of the class, attendees will grasp the fundamentals of all offensive position groups crucial for fantasy football scoring. Moreover, they'll engage in a mock fantasy football draft. Additional topics covered include scoring mechanisms, navigating the waiver wire, managing bye weeks, executing trades, exploring various league formats and drafting options, and most importantly, having fun! Each participant will leave with a comprehensive packet of discussed materials, online resources for fantasy football success, and contact information for the instructor to address any post-class queries. They'll come to realize how simple and enjoyable fantasy football can truly be!

    A fantastic opportunity for beer enthusiasts, aspiring home-brewers, or anyone looking to deepen their appreciation for the world of craft beer. Learn, taste and discover the secrets behind your favorite brews! Led by Forgotten Star Assistant Brewer, Jake Glynn, don't miss out on this unique experience! What to expect: - The history and fundamentals of the brewing process - The ingredients and their role in making beer - Guided beer tasting The class and tasting will last about 90 minutes and comes with a free pint for after!
  • Summer Bird Walk-Coon Rapids Dam

    It may still feel like summer to us, but bird migration is already underway for some species. At the same time, nesting birds are still mostly present, meaning we could see a wide variety of species. Nearly 100 species are on record at this location for the month of August, and we'll try spotting as many as we can as we explore the riverfront and the forest. Expect to walk a couple miles. Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray if you choose. Program is led by Naturalist Kyle Te Poel. Children age 10 and older may also register for this program if they attending with a registered parent/adult.

The smooth track promises a comfortable stroll, surrounded by the lively spirit of summer. Whether you're pursuing fitness goals or just looking for an excuse to spend some time outside, this program is designed for everyone! Register today and immerse yourself in a summer of fitness, friendship, and the great outdoors! You can start walking the track as early as 8:30am each Friday morning. We are hoping to add other light fitness activity options during this time such as yoga or aerobics that you can participate in after your warm-up walk.
