  • Football Mini-Camp Gr 9-12

    Mini Camp is the Football Camp for all players planning to be in our High School Football Program in the fall of 2024. Participants will work with SLP Coaches on Fundamentals, Techniques and Schemes. Players must also register for Panther Strength and Speed Camp. The Mini Camp Schedule is subject to change, there is the possibility of a joint practice or two. Details will be communicated ASAP if changes are necessary.
  • Football Youth Camp Gr k-8 2024

    The Panther Football Youth Camp is a partnership between Spring Lake Park Community Education and Spring Lake Park Youth Football to offer a FREE three-day non-contact camp with instruction in all phases of football. Offensive and defensive instruction will include technique play for interior linemen, linebackers, offensive backs, and defensive backs. A specialty unit with emphasis on the kicking game will also be highlighted. The main emphasis of the camp is to learn football technique, make new friends, and have fun! June 27 - Alumni Night - Learn from former Panthers with college/pro experience plus SLPHS Football Staff July 30-31 - Led by SLPHS Football staff plus HS players
  • Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku)

    Experience an ancient wellness practice being rediscovered anew in the 21st century. Join our 2-hour immersive, meditative, and therapeutic forest bathing walk. We will slow down and connect with our senses to the healing, stress-reducing beauty of a little-known hidden corner of the Twin Cities. We will slip away from our phones and revive our relationship with the forest and ourselves via unique invitations that prompt participants to experience the forest in distinct ways. We will share what we notice with each other, incorporating our experiences into our memory to tap again when we may need them. We will re-enter the tame world, renewed and refreshed. For more information on forest bathing please visit www.motzstudios.com. Guests should wear boots/shoes, clothing/gear appropriate for weather. Walk will be held in the rain and snow, but not thunderstorms or negative temperatures. Please wear/bring mosquito/tick repellent and sunscreen if desired. Please bring water if you would like to have some available throughout the walk. DAY OF WALK: Please arrive at walk location 15 minutes prior to walk to allow for check in and walk overview. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated due to the immersive nature of the program. All guests must sign Motz Studios waiver prior to walk. This is a TECH-FREE experience, so please leave mobile phones in car for duration of walk.

  • Kids that Code with Tech Academy Gr 1-4

    Learn to code in this class using Scratch, designed for budding programmers. We offer a unique learning environment to introduce girls to fundamental coding concepts in a collaborative and supportive environment. Students will be creating a game with unique backgrounds and characters. This is an excellent introduction to the principles of game design and interactive storytelling. Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day. Students should have basic reading skills.
  • KinderCamp 2024

    KinderCamp is a free opportunity for students entering kindergarten. Over three half-days, mornings (afternoons may be added if registrations are high, AM or PM (if added) will be determined by bus routes) August 20-22, your new kindergartner gets to practice coming to school. Students tour and get to know their school building, engage in fun activities and get introduced to general routines and expectations. KinderCamp is taught by teachers, and students meet and get to know various school staff each day. KinderCamp is completely free and transportation is available. Please plan to participate and register by July 26, 2024. Don’t miss this opportunity to ease any anxiety your child might have starting school and help build confidence for the first day of Kindergarten.

    What is Leadership Camp? Leadership camp is an intensive, four-day experience that will change how you view your role in our school and community.   • SLP Family Ice Skating at NSC

    Join us at the National Sports Center for some on-ice family fun! This is a free program designed for beginning skaters and their families. Skate rentals will be available on site for $3/pair. Please register every adult and child that will be attending. All children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Ice time is from 4:30pm-5:30pm. If you need to rent skates, please plan to arrive early.

Trimester 3 Flute Lessons: Instructor Heather Samuelson- Heather has a degree from Concordia College, Moorhead. She went to Concordia on a flute performance scholarship, performing with the Concordia Band, Jazz Band and Flute Choir. Her love of playing continues as she performs with the North Suburban Concert Band, Centennial Community Band and plays at church. With 10 years of teaching experience, she’s excited to share her passion and love of music, help students grow in their musical skills and strengthen their playing for band and music auditions.. Trimester 3 Low Brass Lessons: Instructor: Chris Allen is a musician and educator based in White Bear Lake, MN. Primarily playing bass and tenor trombones, but also alto trombone, euphonium, and tuba on occasion. He currently performs regularly with The Paper Clips, Mankato Symphony, Century Jazz Ensemble, and Star of the North Jazz Orchestra. Chris holds an undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College where he studied with Scott Moore and Larry Zimmerman, and studied at the graduate level at the University of Minnesota with Thomas Ashworth. He has taken additional lessons with Andy Chappell (MN Orch), Douglas Wright (MN Orch), Achilles Liarmakopoulos (Canadian Brass), Michael Levine (Dallas Brass), and Henry Charles Smith III. Trimester 3 Trumpet Lessons: Instructor: Leighton Tuenge is a professional freelance trumpet player who performs all types of music around the Twin Cities area, including jazz, classical music and pop music. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in 2022 majoring in music liberal arts and has a certificate in audio recording. Since then, he has played in cover bands such as Inafunk and High and Mighty, been involved in multiple theater shows and performs with his own original jazz trio. Outside of music, he enjoys coffee and outdoors. He teaches all levels of trumpet players and is excited to be working with Spring Lake Park!
